About Us

Since its establishment in 1985, Alpha Civil has been at the forefront of construction activities in the Breede River Valley. With an enviable track record, Alpha Civil has proven itself extremely capable in finding technical and innovative solutions, and by maintaining excellent client relations can specialize in technically and logistically complex projects of all sizes. All the shareholders are still involved in the daily management of the company.

With headquarters situated in Worcester in the Western Cape, Alpha Civil draws on its vast experience to excel in niche multi-disciplinary contracts including road and weigh bridge construction, urban and rural developments, office and industrial buildings, retail centers, reservoirs and environmental remediation.

As part of the drive to conform to Government’s BBBEE policy, Alpha Civil bought out a local ABE construction company, Tema Projects and sold 25,1% of the company’s shares to HDI’s of both companies.

In the past, Tema Projects have been singled out for their role in community access road projects, involving the local community in accordance with Governments’ Procurement Policy.

The company also has extensive experience in the provision of infrastructure for the food and wine industry and the constant search for performance excellence has cultivated a spirit of quality workmanship and pride in whatever is undertaken. This is evident in the Company’s nomination for the Fulton award for excellence in concrete technology in 1999.
